Surgical coverall

Protective coverall specifications:

  • Single use, disposable, impermeable
  • Avoid culturally unacceptable colours eg; black
  • Light colours are preferred to better detect the possible contamination
  • Thumb/finger loops to anchor sleeves in place preferably
  • With or without integrated hoods
  • With or without integrated socks
  • Zip must be covered with a flap of barrier material that can be sealed to the garment
  • Quality compliant with the following standard or equivalent
    ANSI/AAMI BP 70:2012 Level 4 ( Testing method – ASTM F 1671 – ( 13.8kPa)
    OR
    EN 14126, Class 5 or 6 ( Testing method – ISO 16604 ≥14 kPa)
    AND
    ASTM 2407 2006

 Wrap around gowns specifications:

  • Single use, disposable, impermeable
  • Length from neck to mid- calf to cover the top of the boots
  • Long sleeves with tight cuffs
  • Thumb/finger loops to anchor sleeves in place
  • There should be sufficient overlap of the fabric at the back so that it wraps around the body to cover the back and straps should facilitate the overlapping at the back
  • Avoid culturally unacceptable colours eg; black
  • Light colours are preferred to better detect the possible contamination
  • Quality compliant with the following standard or equivalent
    ANSI/AAMI BP 70:2012 Level 4 (( tested for resistance to blood borne pathogen penetration: Testing method – ASTM F 1671 – 13.8kPa)
    OR
    Passing ISO 16604 – ( 14 kPa)
    AND
    ASTM 2407 2006
