Antibiotic awareness week Apeksha hospital

Microbiologist and her team visited the paediatric wards of Apeksha Hospital (National Cancer Institute of Sri Lanka) on the 22nd November in the WAAW as a part of the "Go Blue for AMR" to launch the antimicrobial stewardship programme, as a part of WHO Global initiative for childhood cancer Sri Lanka Project. Activities include, distribution of booklets and posters on Clinical Practice Guidelines for febrile neutropenia in children and introduction of a drug chart with a separate section for antimicrobials. This was a collaborative work between Microbiology and Paediatric Oncology Departments of National Cancer Institute.
