ANTT Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop Summary

The Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop on Aseptic Non-Touch Technique (ANTT) was held on June 30, 2025, at the Neuro-trauma Auditorium (NHSL), organized by the Sri Lanka College of Microbiologists and the Ministry of Health.

Targeting Consultant Microbiologists, the workshop's main goal was to establish them as certified trainers to standardize ANTT practices nationwide, thereby enhancing Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and reducing Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs).

The training benefited from high-level institutional commitment and specialized expertise, including:

• Official Addresses: Dr. Priyantha Attapattu (DDG/LS) and Dr. Sujatha Pathirage consultant microbiologist and the president of Sri Lanka College of Microbiologists.

• Monitoring & Discussion Leads: Dr. Dhammika Vidanagama and Dr. Kushlani Jayathilake.

The intensive training successfully equipped the microbiologists with both the technical expertise and the training skills necessary to enforce and disseminate the ANTT standard across Sri Lankan healthcare facilities.
